You can use a site like Trip Advisor or Hostelworld to search for hotels in the price bracket that you want - plus they give (unbiased) reviews from customers who have stayed there and can give you the good and bad points. Just to give you an idea, the cheapest price to stay in tonight in the Hilton on Park Lane (only high rate available) would be £320.85 for a twin room including bed & breakfast only. Personally I would rather stay in another great hotel for a weekend or more for that price.
