What really is the best website to find cheap flights around the world?I know there are dozens out there. I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me which one really is the best for finding cheap fares for international flights.
Also, any tips in terms of looking for cheap flights? Times to look? Certain airlines? (I know about ryanair) Seat sales?
Any info would be great.

Here's one way of doing this tour by hooking up with the packages from England.
Using RyanAir, a little advance planning, will get you to Stansted, England, just N. of London. The total R/T from Rome, Ciampino airport: which I just got, copied from their website is:

There are several other cities in Italy that take you through Stansted but you still have to tie into Heathrow which takes up another few hours between airports.

Your buddy is not lying. He can fly on his own carrier for free and also many others. The way it works when you work at an airport is called "counter agreements." That means you simply send in a request and that airline will print you tickets to where ever you want to go. It's all standby travel of course. But as an airline employee, you know when is the best time to fly and when to just not take your chances.
Some airports have different agreemtents between carriers, but it's usually free on all domestic and international. (INTL travel requires you to just pay taxes.)
Also he should have a "pass bureau." That's a place to get the dirt cheap tickets on carriers that do not fly to you airport. So you use them to go to all of the exotic places
I don't care anything about eating or drinking on short flights.
What I care about is a seat to sit in that's large enough for comfortable sitting, reclines slightly for additional comfort and enough leg room to relax my legs for the entire flight time. Sitting cramped straight up, with knees up to my chin & a seat that's too small for my buns is ridiculous. And I'm a small size female not even overweight.
That just doesn't happen much any more on any airline.
It doesn't hurt to sign up for the airline rewards programs. I would suggest that you go with a credit card that offers money back or points that you can redeem for items other than travel. Frequent flyer programs work well for the business traveler, not for those who travel every so often. I have a Chase Mastercard that gives me 5 points for every dollar I spend at grocery stores, drug stores and gas stations and 1 point on everything else. Once I reach 5,000 points I get a $50 check. I also have a frequent flyer account with 2 airlines but I don't travel much so every so often I use a credit card with no annual fee that gives me 1 mile for every $2 dollars I spend. That way I keep my frequent flyer account active and the miles do not go away.
You are better off going with an airline that offers the cheapest ticket than be super loyal to one particular airline. Even if you reach enough for a free trip, you have to book your free ticket at least 1 year in advance (to popular destinations).

OK, the first thing to realise is that December is the high season for the Maldives so the cost of flights will inevitably be higher – but there are some tips to find a good price – check out the first link.
You should be able to find a 4/5 star holiday from about £1450 (GBP per person for 14 nights without much hassle.
If you check out the second and third links they will show you both five star resorts and four star resorts – they have reviews on many of them so you'll get a feel for what the island resort is like.
The links also have a section on honeymoons which you may find useful as it shows you just what you get for your money with "honeymoon packages" you'll see that sometimes it's better to book a hotel that offers dining on the beach and desert island picnics as opposed to a specific honeymoon package that only means Champagne when you arrive, a bowl of fruit and flowers on your bed!
You can always get in touch with websites directly to get more details or to try and get them to lower the price – I've done this and it's worked.

I travel alot for work and I use Southwest Airlines. I also use the Southwest Airlines Visa and I only use Southwest partners for rental cars and hotels.
For me southwest is the best because all of my flights are only in the west. By making the most of the partner system I get 1 to 2 free rounds trips wherever Southwest flies per month. My wife also get a companion pass every year so she flies foe free whenever I fly. Because Southwest is in all the cities I fly I would never ditch this system that someone else enlightened me on.

I can't see an employer legally prevent you from starting a union.
However, your jurisdiction (state or province) has laws that govern the unionization of a workplace, what needs to happen to give the union authority in that workplace and how the union would interact with the employer.
In Quebec (Canada), a union was formed at a Wal-Mart and it suddenly closed afterwards. The matter was shortly taken to court and Wal-Mart lost. You can't just close your doors because there is a union, but …
However, some unions have been proven to be just as much of a problem as the employer, e.g. the big three auto sector.
